Faith-Based Leadership Coaching for Christian Business Owners
For many Christian business owners, the business isn't just a business. It's a place to serve people well, steward what you've been given, and live out what you believe on ordinary weekdays. That's a beautiful calling — and it can also feel heavy when the pressure builds.
CHOPS coaching welcomes your faith into the conversation. It's practical leadership coaching that helps you lead from your values, with clarity and peace instead of fear and constant striving.
How faith fits into CHOPS coaching
Spirit is one of the five CHOPS pillars. In CHOPS, Spirit means your authentic core — your calling, your values, and your connection to something larger than outcomes. The framework is rooted in the belief that sustainable leadership is anchored to something bigger than ourselves.
Terra is a Christian, and her faith informs her work. That said, CHOPS is designed to be meaningful for leaders from a variety of backgrounds and is not denominational or preachy. You decide how much of your faith you bring into each session. There's no script and no pressure.
Who is this coaching for?
If you've ever felt that your faith and your business live in separate boxes — or that you should be more peaceful about work than you actually are — this coaching is for you.
- Christian business owners and solopreneurs
- Faith-based founders and nonprofit leaders
- Ministry leaders and women in ministry leadership
- Leaders who want their business decisions to line up with what they believe
Grace over doubt
Terra's book, Grace Over Doubt™, explores how to embrace your worth as a Christian in the battle against imposter syndrome. Many faith-driven leaders carry a quiet doubt that they're not doing enough, or not doing it right. Coaching helps you replace that striving with grace-rooted Confidence — self-belief that holds under pressure because it isn't built on your performance.
What we work on together
Coaching starts with the free Mini CHOPS Gap Assessment, which shows where you stand across Confidence, Hope, Optimism, Perseverance, and Spirit. From there, sessions focus on your real leadership life: decisions you're praying about, a team member you're unsure how to lead, pricing that honors both your work and your clients, boundaries that protect your family, and rhythms of rest that let you keep going.
The goal is simple: lead in a way that's faithful to who you are, sustainable for the long haul, and good for the people you serve.
Leading from rest instead of striving
Many Christian business owners carry a deep sense of responsibility — to their clients, their team, their family, and their faith. That's a gift. But when responsibility turns into constant striving, it can quietly crowd out the peace you want your leadership to reflect.
Coaching gives you room to step back and ask honest questions. What are you carrying that isn't yours to carry? Where are you leading from fear instead of trust? What would it look like to make this decision from a settled place?
From there, the work is practical. You might build a weekly rhythm that protects time for rest and reflection, practice saying no to opportunities that don't fit your calling, or work through a hard conversation with grace and clarity. Each small change helps your business line up more closely with what you believe.
Hope and Perseverance matter here too. Hope helps you see new pathways when a door closes, and Perseverance helps you keep going through the hard middle without burning out.
